As a State Certified Peer Support Specialist, I offer an alternative approach to mental health that can bridge the gaps in the health care system. I use a strength based approach . A strength-based approach is focusing on the positive attributes, of a person or a group, rather than the negative ones. I honor the unique journey of each peer and will provide a flexible approach to your recovery journey so you can grow and thrive
I have experience working with youth/teens. We all know that being a teenager is not easy. Teens have to deal with navigating their way in the world while undergoing monumental physical, emotional, and social changes. As a peer support specialist and mentor I enjoy walking with teens on their journey and helping them discover what they often cant see and that is how amazing they are and how much they have to offer the world. I help them discover their strength.
As a Recovery Coach I have lived experience in long term recovery which makes it possible to engage peers in building long term recovery by offering a level of credibility that can only come from that lived experience. I work with peers to help them find what will work for them on their recovery journey there is not a one way fits all approach. I offer tools and resources to help them grow in their recovery.
